Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Preconstruction, the Lead Estimator will:

• Lead quantity takeoffs and develop full cost estimates, including materials, equipment, labor, and utilities.
• Review construction documents, analyze specifications, and prepare detailed estimates to support project planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Manage prequalification and pre‑bid submissions, ensuring all documents and budgets are completed accurately and submitted before deadlines.
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing, establish work hours, sequence activities, and support project goals.
• Provide regular updates to management and clients, while anticipating risks, developing contingencies, and maintaining accuracy in cost forecasting.
• Stay current with estimating software, tools, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate across internal teams, conduct site visits, and assist with tasks such as bid deliveries when needed.

The Successful Applicant

A Successful Senior Estimator Should Have

• 2 years of construction estimating experience with a General Contractor
• Strong understanding of scheduling, estimating, and cost‑control principles
• Working knowledge of project management software
• Mature professional with sound judgment
• Self‑motivated, results‑driven, and able to work independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal ability
• Strong time‑management skills, able to handle multiple priorities with high attention to detail
