Job Description
- Assist in the design of overhead transmission lines from 69kV, 115kV, 138kV, 230kV up to 345kV/500kV
- Support line routing, structure spotting, and profile development
- Perform basic sag & tension and clearance calculations under supervision
- Assist in developing drawings, specifications, and material takeoffs
- Ensure designs align with NESC, ASCE, and IEEE standards
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project teams
- Support field activities, site visits, and constructability reviews
The Successful Applicant
A Successful Junior Transmission Line Engineer Should Have
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering
- 0-3 years of experience (internships/co-ops in T&D highly preferred)
- Strong interest in transmission line engineering and power delivery
- Basic understanding of engineering design principles
- Competitive hourly pay ranging from $45 to $50, paid in USD.
