Healthcare Construction Superintendent: oversee and manage healthcare facility construction projects in South Florida. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in healthcare construction and a deep understanding of AHCA compliance and inspection processes. This role requires exceptional leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver projects on time, within budget.

Client Details

Our client is a mid-size GC that has a strong background of healthcare and institutional construction projects throughout the Southeast of the US (Florida, Georgia and the Carolina's).

Description

  • Project Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations of healthcare construction projects, ensuring adherence to plans, specifications, and timelines.
  • AHCA Compliance: Coordinate and prepare for AHCA inspections, ensuring all construction activities meet state healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise subcontractors, field staff, and vendors to maintain quality and safety standards.
  • Scheduling & Coordination: Develop and maintain project schedules, monitor progress, and resolve delays or issues promptly.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with healthcare construction codes and AHCA requirements.
  • Safety Management: Enforce job site safety protocols and maintain OSHA compliance.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory agencies.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspections, permits, and compliance reports.

Profile

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years as a Construction Superintendent, with at least 3 years in healthcare facility projects.
  • AHCA Expertise: Demonstrated experience managing AHCA inspections and compliance processes.
  • Education: High school diploma required; degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
  • Certifications: OSHA 30-hour certification required; healthcare construction certifications (e.g., CHC) preferred.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills; proficiency in project management software.
