My client manufactures and supplies one of the industry's broadest portfolios of refractory products, engineered for the most demanding industrial environments. These products are designed to withstand severe heat, mechanical stress, abrasion, and chemical attack conditions common in high‑temperature processes.

Job Description

The key responsibilities of the Global Operational Excellence Manager are:

• Lead the development, deployment, and sustainment of the global Operational Excellence (OpEx) strategy.
• Implement Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, and other structured CI methodologies across all sites.
• Establish standardized tools, processes, and frameworks to improve throughput, reduce waste, and optimize production workflows.
• Conduct operational assessments and identify improvement opportunities across global manufacturing plants.
• Develop and track KPIs for operational performance, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
• Drive measurable improvements in safety, quality, reliability, cost, and delivery.
• Facilitate root‑cause analysis (RCA), kaizen events, value‑stream mapping (VSM), and process optimization projects.
• Coach plant teams in Lean, Six Sigma, problem‑solving, and continuous improvement techniques.
• Build an organizational culture focused on accountability, standardization, and sustained performance.
• Mentor OpEx champions and site CI leaders to strengthen internal capability.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Global Operational Excellence Manager will have the following:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 7 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, or process engineering.
• Proven history of leading Lean, Six Sigma, or world‑class manufacturing initiatives.
• Demonstrated success implementing large‑scale CI programs across multiple sites.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with data‑driven decision‑making.
• Exceptional communication, facilitation, and leadership capabilities.
