Job Description
Commercial Estimator
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
- Analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documents to determine project scope.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure alignment on project costs.
- Source and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers for competitive pricing.
- Monitor market trends in materials and labor to maintain up-to-date cost data.
- Assist in developing project budgets and timelines for client proposals.
- Maintain organized records of all estimates, bids, and correspondence for future reference.
- Provide support during contract negotiations by offering cost insight and recommendations.
