Job Description
- Lead the site's full EH&S strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate standards and regulatory requirements.
- Chair the Safety Committee, driving clear agendas, action tracking, and accountability.
- Conduct routine safety walks, drive hazard identification, and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
- Develop and refresh policies, SOPs, and training - coaching employees and leaders to adopt safe behaviors.
- Manage the annual compliance training plan and maintain audit-ready EH&S documentation.
- Coordinate or perform industrial hygiene and ergonomic assessments and recommend appropriate controls.
- Oversee third‑party EH&S vendors and ensure quality of sampling and training services.
- Lead incident and near-miss investigations, perform root-cause analysis, and present trend data to leadership.
- Partner with HR on return-to-work needs and safe job placement.
- Maintain environmental compliance, including waste handling, spill prevention, and inspection readiness.
- Strengthen emergency preparedness through plans, drills, equipment checks, and action follow-up.
- Manage the EH&S budget and recommend high-impact capital or PPE investments.
The Successful Applicant
- 3-7 years of EH&S experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
- Solid understanding of OSHA requirements and core manufacturing safety programs.
- Proven experience leading safety committees, delivering EH&S training, and conducting investigations.
- Strong presence on the floor with the ability to coach, influence, and gain follow-through.
- Excellent communication skills with strong organization and documentation habits.
- Experience with industrial hygiene testing and vendor coordination preferred.
- Familiarity with environmental compliance within a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Comfort with systems like Excel, SharePoint/Teams, and EH&S platforms preferred.
- You'll have full ownership and autonomy over all site-level EH&S programs.
- Direct visibility and partnership with senior leadership, including the GM and VP of EH&S.
