The Engineering Manager will lead the development and optimization of plastics manufacturing processes, including molding, extrusion, and material flow, to ensure efficiency, quality, and scalability. Description

• Lead and manage plastics process engineering and automation projects to optimize molding and secondary operations.
• Identify and implement polymer processing improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce scrap, and maintain tight tolerances in plastic components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute automation strategies for injection molding and material handling systems.
• Ensure compliance with plastics industry safety standards, regulatory requirements, and material specifications in all engineering processes.
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation for plastic molding processes, tooling setups, and automated systems.
• Train and mentor team members on plastics processing techniques, mold maintenance, and automation best practices to support professional growth.
• Monitor and analyze plastics production performance data, including cycle times, material utilization, and quality metrics, to identify areas for improvement.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for plastics-specific equipment procurement, mold tooling, and maintenance services.

Profile

A successful Engineering Manager should have:
