Job Description
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers by setting priorities, providing technical guidance, and supporting career growth.
- Deliver hands-on technical leadership to ensure engineering resources effectively support production operations.
- Oversee process engineering efforts to ensure safe and efficient production of high-purity chemical products.
- Drive initiatives to improve yield, throughput, cost efficiency, and overall process capability while maintaining stringent quality standards.
- Collaborate with Operations to resolve production challenges and implement sustainable process improvements.
- Lead root cause investigations related to process deviations, equipment performance, or product quality, and ensure corrective actions are executed.
- Manage raw material engineering activities, including supplier technical engagement, material qualification, and performance evaluation.
- Partner with Supply Chain and Quality teams to maintain consistent raw material standards and supplier reliability.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives using data-driven and structured problem-solving approaches.
- Support and lead capital projects, including process upgrades, equipment installations, and capacity expansion.
- Ensure all engineering activities meet environmental, health, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Contribute to process safety programs, hazard assessments, and incident investigations.
- Act as the primary technical liaison between engineering and other functions such as Operations, Quality, EHS, Supply Chain, and R&D.
- Provide engineering support for new product introductions, scale-ups, and technology transfers.
- Maintain technical documentation, standards, and knowledge systems to ensure consistency across operations.
The Successful Applicant
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field required
- Advanced degree preferred
- 8-10 years of experience in chemical manufacturing, specialty materials, semiconductor-related production, or similar regulated environments
- 3-5 years of leadership experience managing engineering or technical teams
- Proven experience supporting complex processes, troubleshooting issues, and driving process improvements
- Experience in high-purity or semiconductor-related manufacturing environments is highly desirable
- Salary Range: $140,000 - $160,000 Annual Bonues
