We are partnered up with a Publicly Traded Life Sciences company in their search for a Corporate Assistant Controller to join the team due to growth within the company & department. Description

The Corporate Assistant Controller will be responsible for the following:

• Lead the company's SOX compliance efforts, including designing, implementing, and testing internal controls
• Work closely with internal and external auditors to ensure successful completion of SOX audits
• Prepare and review SEC filings, including Form 10-K, Form 10-Q, and Form 8-K
• Ensure compliance with SEC regulations and reporting requirements
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze financial information for inclusion in SEC filings
• Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Assist with the development of annual budgets and long-range financial forecasts
• Prepare and analyze financial metrics to support management decision-making
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements
• Work closely with external auditors during the annual audit process

Profile

The ideal Assistant Corporate Controller will have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• CPA certification required
• At least 6 years of public accounting experience
• Experience in the life sciences industry preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP and other regulatory requirements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Offer

The Corporate Assistant Controller will be rewarded with the following:

• Base Salary of $130,000-$160,000 depending on experience
• Bonus
