Seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects across Western NC and Upstate SC, overseeing schedules, budgets, quality, and team coordination from preconstruction through closeout. The role involves managing contracts, subcontractors, permitting, billing, and on-site progress while ensuring compliance, resolving issues, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

This is athird‑generation,family‑owned general contractor based in Western North Carolina, delivering commercial, institutional, medical, and public-sector projects through bothdesign‑build anddesign‑bid‑build delivery methods. With a 50-60 person team, and projects located close to the home office, the firm is known forhands‑on leadership,long‑term employee development, and meaningful,community‑impact work.

Description

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee all aspects of commercial construction projects from initiation to completion.
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure successful delivery.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to meet project requirements and expectations.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations and quality standards on-site.
• Identify and address project challenges, ensuring timely resolution to avoid delays.
• Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders and senior management.
• Ensure all project documentation is completed accurately and maintained properly.
• Lead and motivate project teams to achieve project goals and maintain high levels of performance.

Profile

A successful Project Manager - Commercial should have:

• Proven experience managing commercial construction projects within the property industry.
• Strong understanding of project management principles, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk assessment.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage teams and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of construction standards, codes, and safety regulations.
