Job Description
Construction Assistant Project Manager - Manhattan, NY
- Support Project Managers on all phases of construction projects, including preconstruction, procurement, construction, and closeout.
- Assist with RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contract documentation.
- Track project schedules, budgets, cost reports, and forecasts.
- Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, consultants, and vendors.
- Participate in project meetings, site walks, and coordination reviews.
- Help manage buyout activities, material procurement, and delivery tracking.
- Maintain organized and accurate project documentation using project management systems.

The Successful Applicant
A successful Construction Assistant Project Manager should have:
- 2-5 years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Engineer with a general contractor (required).
- Strong understanding of construction documents, sequencing, and coordination processes.
- Experience working on commercial or interior projects in NYC preferred.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to take ownership of tasks.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work between the field and office.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
