Job Description
Responsibilities for the Carpentry Estimator Position
- Prepare accurate and timely carpentry estimates for interior construction and tenant improvement projects
- Review drawings, specifications, and scope documents to develop detailed quantity takeoffs
- Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Collaborate with preconstruction, project management, and field teams to clarify scope and constructability
- Identify cost risks, value-engineering opportunities, and alternate pricing options
- Maintain estimating databases, templates, and historical cost data
- Support bid presentations and assist with project handoff after award

Successful Candidate Profile - Carpentry Estimator
- Proven experience estimating commercial carpentry and interior construction projects
- Strong understanding of framing, drywall, millwork, and interior finishes
- Highly skilled at reading and interpreting architectural and construction drawings
- Detail-oriented with the ability to produce accurate, well-organized quantity takeoffs and pricing
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, deadline-driven bidding environments
