My client is a highly reputable general contractor in the Indianapolis area that focuses on the development of its employees, career growth, leadership opportunities. This general contractor has a growing portfolio and is excited to bring on a few additional people to the team including an Assistant Superintendent to assist with field work.
Description
- Walk the job site and check in with subcontractors (subs) under supervision of the Senior Super
- Check and manage the daily construction schedule
- Ensure the site is clean and safe at the end of each day
- Participate in "Stretch Inflexions" (daily stretching exercises to prevent injuries and track worker health)
- Monitor all field work - look over trades and subs
- Develop daily and weekly plans and procedures for the site with the Superintendent onsite
- Help create and manage a 3-6 week look-ahead schedule to plan upcoming tasks
- Coordinate with the project management team
- Keep daily logs and upload photos to Procore
- Communicate necessary changes for change orders
Profile
- Ground up experience is a plus
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certifications required
- 2-5 years of experience as a constructionproject engineer or assistant superintendent
- Ability to work with clients
- Experience with preconstruction planning
- Willingness to learn and grow in the space
