Description
- Coordinate accounting activities across AR, AP, and general accounting teams in multiple regions.
- Oversee month-end close, account reconciliations, and ensure compliance with GAAP and IFRS.
- Partner with Business Unit Controller on cost accounting, inventory management, BOM analysis, and operational finance.
- Review and validate journal entries prepared by team members; ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Research and document technical accounting issues, including M&A activities and new pronouncements.
- Drive process improvements and modernization initiatives (automation, ERP enhancements).
- Maintain and test internal controls; manage internal and external audits.
- Prepare and review accruals, complex reconciliations, and financial analyses.
- Advise management on fiscal matters and provide insights for decision-making.
- Other duties as assigned.
Profile
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including public/private mix.
- Manufacturing industry experience required, with strong knowledge of cost accounting, BOM, inventory flows, and COGS.
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS; multi-currency exposure preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to manage across multiple sites.
