Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager will oversee and manage accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance. This role requires expertise in accounting, public accounting, and familiarity with SAP systems.

Description

• Coordinate accounting activities across AR, AP, and general accounting teams in multiple regions.
• Oversee month-end close, account reconciliations, and ensure compliance with GAAP and IFRS.
• Partner with Business Unit Controller on cost accounting, inventory management, BOM analysis, and operational finance.
• Review and validate journal entries prepared by team members; ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Research and document technical accounting issues, including M&A activities and new pronouncements.
• Drive process improvements and modernization initiatives (automation, ERP enhancements).
• Maintain and test internal controls; manage internal and external audits.
• Prepare and review accruals, complex reconciliations, and financial analyses.
• Advise management on fiscal matters and provide insights for decision-making.
• Other duties as assigned.

Profile

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
• 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including public/private mix.
• Manufacturing industry experience required, with strong knowledge of cost accounting, BOM, inventory flows, and COGS.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS; multi-currency exposure preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to manage across multiple sites.
