Manage all general accounting functions, including AR, AP, GL, and payroll.
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes; prepare financial statements.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
Manage contract billing, change orders, and retention tracking.
Coordinate with external auditors on annual audits and tax filings.
Monitor cash flow and assist with financial forecasting.
Supervise, train, and mentor accounting staff.
Implement and maintain internal controls and accounting procedures.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Review and analyze job cost and billing data to verify accuracy and process project billing.
Prepare Work-in-Progress (WIP) reports.
Profile
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Accounting or Business Administration.
7-10 years of relevant accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a management or supervisory capacity.
Prior construction accounting experience is required.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, Adobe Acrobat, and industry-specific software (e.g., Sage 300 CRE, Procore, or similar).
Strong knowledge of job costing, billing cycles, and WIP reporting.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
