What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Analyst, Advanced Analytics position at Michael Kors?
Who You Are:
We are seeking an experienced analytics professional to join our Advanced Analytics team, which is responsible for understanding and advancing the company’s understanding of its customer, inventory, and sales data through quantitative analysis, process automation, and data visualization. The ideal candidate understands the relationship between data and the real world, has the curiosity to uncover unexplored areas of opportunity, and the initiative and judgment to determine how best to do so.
What You’ll Do:
- Serve as an expert on the "Voice of the Consumer" by developing and disseminating customer, store, and/or product insights and analyses that support customer engagement programs, including the measurement of targeted programs.
- Work collaboratively with business teams such as CRM, E-commerce, Planning and Product design to democratize insights and improve their understanding of the business
- Analyze customer data to answer business questions and concerns while producing data-driven stories that reveal key insights into consumer behavior.
- Deliver compelling customer insights and clear, actionable recommendations that materially improve the ability to achieve short and long term business goal
- Use predictive modeling and AI to make recommendations on pricing, product assortment, and customer segmentation
- Assist in first-party customer research, tying customer preferences to patterns in traffic and sales
- Create dashboards to improve efficiency and data literacy of business partners throughout the company
You’ll Need to Have:
- Master’s degree in Analytics, Data Science or comparable data discipline or related and 2 years of experience in analytics, research, and/or data science.
- Advanced proficiency querying relational databases using SQL statements.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more statistical languages, preferably R or Python
- Proficient in manipulating and analyzing data in Excel, including the use of advanced Excel functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, INDEX, conditional formatting).
- Proficient with data visualization software to create reporting dashboards, preferably in Tableau
- Experience working with and understanding transaction-level sales data
- Experience leveraging statistical methodologies, including classification and predictive modeling, to drive business outcomes.
- Experience leveraging AI to improve capabilities and efficiency
- Experience and comfort in data storytelling, translating quantitative insights into actionable business opportunities
- Familiarity with experimental design and hypothesis testing.
- Familiarity with survey design or analysis a major plus

Salary : $105,000 - $120,000
