We have an immediate opportunity available for a part-time Medical Assistant ( up to 25 hours per week) in our Scranton office.
Responsibilities include:
Perform front desk duties as assigned.
Respond to patient messages, fax reports, and create cases.
Provide patient care under supervision of the physician..
Carry out the efficient turnover and cleaning of exam rooms.
Administer immunizations and vaccines.
Collect and process laboratory cases.
Complete the referral and patient authorization process.
Adhere to work schedule including overtime and evening hours as assigned.
Complete patient medical histories, vital signs, and accurate documentation in the electronic computer system
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
1-2 years Medical Assistance experience
Experience in Athena or similar EMR system
Demonstrated communication skills, excellent organization and attention to detail.
Demonstrated patient care.
