Miami GlobalManufacturing & Distribution Organization seeks a professional, experienced HR Manager located onsite in their Miami, Florida Corporate Office. This position plans, coordinates, and directs the administrative functions of the organization, serving as a critical link between management and employees. This role is essential for fostering a safe, positive, and compliant work environment, which often involves coordinating safety and workers' compensation programs relevant to an industrial setting.
- Develop, implement, and enforce HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and safety regulations, such as OSHA standards.
- Oversee the entire talent acquisition process, including job postings, interviewing, selection, and onboarding of new employees, and forecasting future staffing needs for the plant and distribution center.
- Serve as a liaison between management and employees, managing and resolving employee relations issues, mediating disputes, and directing disciplinary procedures.
- Administer compensation and benefits programs (e.g., health, dental, retirement plans, leaves of absence like FMLA), ensuring they are competitive and equitable to attract and retain top talent.
- Oversee and manage the performance review system, providing guidance and tools to managers to drive high performance and support employee development.
- Assess training needs and coordinate development programs, which may include job-specific skills and safety training, in collaboration with operations and safety teams.
- Coordinate the administration of employee safety, occupational health, and workers' compensation programs, including investigating workplace accidents and preparing reports.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field is typically required; some positions may prefer or require a master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP or PHR).
- Several years of experience in human resources, with at 10 years in management or supervisory role. Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is often highly valued due to the specific safety and labor regulations.
- Strong communication, leadership, decision-making, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential. Knowledge of HR software and the ability to analyze HR metrics for decision support are also important.
