Role :: Federal Proposal Coordinator – Entry Level
Location: Hybrid – At least 4 days onsite in Tysons Corner, VA.
Job Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate activities, tasks, and communication across the capture to submission life cycle.
- Develop proposal schedules, calendars, and manage color review logistics to meet deadlines.
- Serve as point of contact with teaming partners on data calls and coordination activities.
- Support development of proposal content, including narrative editing and graphics.
- Maintain proposal knowledge base including archiving and metadata management.
- Generate proposal status reporting and track document version control.
- Organize and prepare meeting briefs, templates, and support materials for proposal sessions.
- Work closely with project managers to ensure proposals address all RFP requirements.
- Maintain information systems including resume libraries, project descriptions, boilerplate repositories, and marketing databases.
- Collaborate with BD resources (Proposal Coordinators, Capture Managers, Proposal Managers, Account Directors) on best practices.
- Conduct research on government agencies and outreach to contracting officers and program stakeholders to support business development.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, or related field.
- 0-2 years of experience as a Project Coordinator or Proposal Coordinator.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
- Excellent coordination, organization, and time management skills.
- Strong writing/editing skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Highly motivated with strong desire to learn.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Federal contracting or Shipley proposal methodology.
