Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations by preparing rooms, taking vital signs, and documenting clinical notes accurately in EHR systems.
- Manage patient intake processes by collecting medical histories, updating records, and ensuring all documentation complies with privacy regulations.
- Support medical office operations through scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and maintaining medical records with precision.
- Utilize knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding to ensure accurate documentation and billing processes.
- Conduct EMR/EHR management tasks such as data entry, chart updates, and retrieval of patient information for ongoing care coordination.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized clinical environment while adhering to safety protocols and infection control standards.
Experience
- Prior medical office experience is preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency in electronic health records (EHR/EMR) systems and medical documentation practices.
- Knowledge of pharmacology, ICD coding, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to ensure accurate patient records and billing.
- Strong patient service skills combined with excellent communication abilities to support a welcoming environment for all patients.
