What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN-MED PASS-IV/ PCU5/ Part-time Day Shift position at Miami Valley Hospital South?
The Licensed Practical Nurse administers patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The Licensed Practical Nurse collaborates as a member of the nursing team to accomplish patient care activities and contributes to the implementation of patient care. The LPN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures. The LPN provides physical, emotional and spiritual support that directly/ indirectly impacts patient outcomes and care provided to patients/ families/ significant others.
Education: Diploma Program in Practical Nursing
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Valid Ohio Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
- Current AHA BLS certification
- Certified to administer medications
- Preferred: IV Certification
Experience: Minimum 1 year of LPN experience is required.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Must be able to multitask with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor
