Position Overview
This role will serve as the organization’s subject matter expert for direct-to-consumer growth, leading subscriber acquisition, audience expansion, and revenue generation for Marlins.tv.
This position is responsible for building and optimizing the full digital growth engine, ensuring that content, campaigns, and distribution strategies are aligned to drive subscriber growth, maximize audience value, and support both direct revenue and sponsorship monetization.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end subscriber acquisition strategy for Marlins.tv, driving measurable growth across all digital channels
- Build and optimize the full fan funnel from awareness through engagement, conversion, and retention
- Identify and prioritize high-value audience segments to improve targeting and conversion efficiency
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies aligned with key moments throughout the MLB season
- Lead paid media strategy across digital platforms, optimizing customer acquisition cost (CAC) and return on ad spend (ROAS)
- Oversee budget allocation, campaign performance, and ongoing optimization across paid and owned channels
- Align owned channels including email, app, web, and social to drive conversion and subscriber growth
- Optimize landing pages, subscription flows, and user experience to improve conversion rates
- Execute A/B testing across messaging, creative, and offers to continuously improve performance
- Partner with product and technology teams to enhance the digital user journey and reduce friction
- Partner with Content and Creative teams to develop acquisition-focused content strategies
- Identify high-performing content formats and build content funnels designed to convert users into subscribers
- Ensure content strategy aligns with growth and revenue objectives, not solely engagement
- Own acquisition and funnel performance reporting, including CAC, conversion rates, subscriber growth, and channel performance
- Translate data and insights into actionable strategies that drive measurable growth outcomes
- Partner with Corporate Partnerships to integrate sponsorship into growth initiatives and campaigns
- Support development of sponsor-supported acquisition programs and audience monetization strategies
- Help quantify and communicate audience value, including reach, impressions, and targeting capabilities
- Identify and develop external growth opportunities including media partnerships, influencers, creators, and platform integrations
- Explore bundling and promotional partnerships to expand reach and accelerate subscriber growth
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 5–8 years of experience in digital marketing, growth, or direct-to-consumer acquisition roles
- Experience in subscription-based or DTC business models preferred; sports, media, or entertainment experience a plus
- Strong expertise in paid media, performance marketing, and digital acquisition strategy
- Proven ability to optimize CAC, conversion rates, and funnel performance
- Experience with A/B testing, landing page optimization, and conversion rate optimization (CRO)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in performance reporting and translating data into strategy
- Familiarity with marketing analytics platforms, attribution models, and campaign tracking
- Experience working cross-functionally with content, product, and partnerships teams
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment
- Strong communication, organization, and execution skills
- Passion for sports, media, and fan engagement preferred
