Position Summary: Teacher for the Summer Program
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:
· Assists the Transition Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) in coordinating activities and teaching daily and rehabilitation skills.
- Provides assistance to children as needed.
- Keeps children on tasks.
- Assists during lunch as required so that children can get their lunch.
- Monitors the children during lunch period as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. - Bachelors Degree in related field and Florida Teacher Certificate.
- Completion of the Department of Children & Family Child Care Training Required.
- Ability to work with children of different ages in a group or individual setting.
- Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written English.
- Ability to work well with people of diverse backgrounds and disabilities.
- Ability to work with good judgment and unquestioned confidentiality with regard to Miami Lighthouse information.
- Must be able to successfully pass a drug test and a criminal background screening.

Pay: $25.00 per hour
License/Certification:
- First Aid Certification (Preferred)
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
- Florida Educator Certificate (Required)
