JOB SUMMARY:

We're seeking passionate and dedicated Christian FEMALE educator to teach and mentor students in a dynamic summer camp setting. The ideal candidate will integrate faith and learning, creating a supportive and inclusive environment that fosters spiritual growth, academic exploration, and personal development. Must be professional, reliable, punctual, positive, outgoing, and enthusiastic about teaching our next generation.

ABOUT US:

GIRLS OF TRANSFORMATION MENTORING PROGRAM is a faith-based organization that empowers girls ages 8-18 through a variety of services, including group and one-on-one mentoring, life skills training, and educational services. Our comprehensive approach is delivered through four distinct programs: Girls with Purpose Afterschool Program, Girls with Purpose Summer Mentorship Camp, GOT's Parenting Program, and a 12-week Saturday Mentorship Program. By combining mentorship, education, and faith-based guidance, we nurture young girls in a holistic way, helping them reach their full potential.

POSITION:

GOT is seeking a FEMALE Summer Camp Teacher for our faith-based Girls with Purpose Summer Mentorship Camp. You must be able to work between the hours of 7:00am-4:00pm or 9:00am-5:30pm (M-F). Experience working with students in grades 1st-5th. Instructional responsibilities that include mentoring, academic enrichment activities, and life skills enrichment activities with biblical integration. Must perform administrative and supervisory work in a typical classroom setting of up to 20 students.

The Summer Program starts Monday, June 8, 2026, and will end Friday, August 7, 2026. The chosen candidate will have the option to continue working with our Girls with Purpose Afterschool Program starting Monday, August 17, 2026 (optional).

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be a committed Christian with a strong faith foundation.
  • Follow the daily activity schedule set by the Program Manager.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving history, and able to drive a 15- passenger van.
  • Ensure the safety of children during program hours through a daily, documented monitoring for safety hazards of both indoor and outdoor space.
  • Daily cleaning of classroom and other areas occupied by the campers.
  • In case of emergency, accident or injury, staff will consult the Student Emergency Contact file for information on allergies, medical and doctor information, parent notification and authorized student pick-up.
  • Incident/injury reports will be filled out and signed by staff witnesses on the same day as an event occurs.
  • Staff will safeguard the confidentiality of student or family information on file, especially medical conditions, family income and benefits eligibility, and student academic performance.
  • As assigned by the Program Manager, Teachers may open/close the program facility which may require an adjustment in daily work hours.
  • Model and reinforce the washing of hands and cleanliness, especially before meals/snacks and after using the bathroom.
  • Always demonstrate respect for youth and parents.
  • Ensure that each child is signed in and out of the camp site daily, ensuring that only authorized individuals pick-up the child at the end of the program day.
  • Assist with preparing and passing out breakfast, lunch, and snacks.
  • Model positive guidance and effective classroom management and maintain the safety and well-being and attention of all students.

MANDATORY TRAINING:

  • Saturday, May, 23, 2026 at 10:00am: Mandatory 3-hour New Hire Training.

PARENT ORIENTATION:

  • Saturday, June, 6, 2026, at 3:00pm: Mandatory Parent Orientation.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of Associate Arts Degree, Preferred Bachelor of Arts Degree in related field
  • Work towards 45 Hours DCF/Florida Child Care Professional Credentials (Plus)

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • A passionate follower of Jesus Christ who seeks to honor Him in their teaching, mentoring, and relationships with students, integrating faith and learning in a way that is authentic and impactful.
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • Prior teaching, mentoring, or camp experience preferred.
  • Reliable personal transportation, valid driver license, and able to drive a 15-passenger van.
  • Available to work the required program hours (7:00am-4:00pm or 9:00am-6:00pm).
  • Demonstrated experience working with youth (K-6th).
  • Background Level II Screening.
  • Basic computer skills.

Monday-Friday 7:00am-4:00pm or 9:00am-5:30pm (Schedule can't be changed).
