Palmetto 57 is looking for a motivated, customer-focused Sales Associate to join our automotive sales team. We are seeking someone who enjoys working with people, builds strong relationships, and is committed to helping customers find the right vehicle.

In this role, you will guide customers through the vehicle purchasing process—from their first inquiry to vehicle delivery—and provide a professional, welcoming experience every step of the way.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and learn about their vehicle needs, preferences, and budget.
• Help customers select vehicles that fit their needs.
• Explain vehicle features, specifications, technology, and available options.
• Conduct vehicle presentations and test drives.
• Respond promptly to phone calls, online inquiries, and showroom visits.
• Follow up with prospective buyers, previous customers, and referrals.
• Maintain accurate customer information, notes, and follow-up activities in the dealership’s customer relationship management system.
• Present pricing and purchase options clearly, working with sales management throughout the negotiation process.
• Coordinate with the finance team to help customers complete their purchase.
• Prepare required sales documentation accurately and promptly.
• Coordinate vehicle delivery and explain key features and controls to the customer.
• Work toward individual and team sales goals while maintaining high standards of customer service.
• Stay informed about dealership inventory, new arrivals, promotions, and product updates.
• Maintain a professional appearance and an organized work area.
• Follow dealership policies and procedures throughout the sales process.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.

• Confidence starting conversations and building relationships with customers.
• Strong organizational skills and consistent follow-through.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team.
• Comfort using computers, email, and customer management software.
• Willingness to learn vehicle features, sales processes, and dealership systems.
• Availability to work [scheduled shifts, including evenings and weekends].
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet dealership driving requirements.
• Previous automotive sales, retail sales, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred.
