Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram of Morgantown, WV has an immediate Parts Manager position available.
As the Parts Manager, you are responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the parts department, ensuring efficient inventory management, timely procurement, accurate distribution, and excellent customer service. This role ensures that parts are readily available for service technicians and retail customers, while maintaining compliance with company policies, safety standards, and vendor agreements.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the parts department, including ordering, receiving, storing, and distributing parts.
- Maintain accurate inventory records; monitor stock levels, conduct regular audits, and minimize discrepancies.
- Develop and implement parts sales strategies to maximize profitability and department performance.
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and customers to ensure timely delivery and competitive pricing.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate parts staff, ensuring compliance with company policies and customer service standards.
- Collaborate with service and sales departments to support vehicle repairs, warranty work, and retail customer needs.
- Monitor department financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profitability goals.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as well as workplace safety standards.
- Address and resolve customer concerns or complaints in a professional manner.
- Prepare and present regular reports on inventory, sales, and departmental performance to management.
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts, systems, and inventory control.
- 3 years of experience in an automotive parts role, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with inventory management systems.
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with dealership management systems (DMS) such as Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK, or Dealertrack.
- Prior work in an automotive dealership or service center environment.
- Certification in parts management or automotive technology.
