Job Title: Senior Maintenance Technician
Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for air conditioning, appliances, drywall, electrical, climate control systems, painting, plumbing, and pressure washing.
Essential Job Functions
- Repair, replace or install:
- Faucets, pipes, hot water tanks, toilets related items
- Power switches, fuses, wall sockets, ceiling lights, ceiling fans, climate control systems and drywall
- Major household appliances, such as refrigerators, range ovens, hot water tanks, and air conditioners
- Painting and carpentry as needed
- Maintaining a tidy appearance in the leasing office and common areas
- Manage all maintenance request in a timely manner.
- Monitor and maintain office equipment; inventory supplies and order replacement supplies, as needed
- Unit turnover
- Other related duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Five (5) years maintenance experience, in an apartment building, condo, or High-rise preferred
- Journeyman experience preferred
- Environmental Protection Agency certification preferred
- Good customer service skills
- Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance
- Ability to use power tools
- Ability to stand for long periods of time without assistance
- Ability to crawl into small or tight spaces and climb a ladder
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently
- Ability to work independently or with others
Environment Work Conditions
- Outside environmental conditions - Fumes, dusts, mists, or gases may affect the respiratory system or the skin
- Intermittent noise to cause marked distraction or difficulty hearing other sounds
- No routine or potential exposure to blood/body fluids/tissues
- Ensures that resident’s/patient’s rights are adhered to
- Demonstrates professionalism and accountability
- Demonstrates a caring attitude consistent with Miami Jewish EmpathicareSM toward MJH residents, patients, family members, employees, and other facility guests
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills
- Ensures confidentiality and security of patients’ medical information
