Under the general supervision of the Florida PACE Centers, Inc. Chief Medical Director, the Medical Director is responsible for the clinical aspects of the program; provides direct clinical supervision to the medical care staff of the program and assists in related administrative tasks.

Job Title: Medical Director (Florida PACE Centers)
Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Florida PACE Centers, Inc. Chief Medical Director, the Medical Director is responsible for the clinical aspects of the program; provides direct clinical supervision to the medical care staff of the program and assists in related administrative tasks.
Essential Job Functions
- Provides direct primary care; including inpatient management, in home visits, routine assessments, reassessments and episodic care as indicated
- Educates the participant and caregivers to assist in the development of advanced directives for the participants health care wishes and ensures participants wishes for end of life are followed
- Participates in daily interdisciplinary team meetings
- Maintains relevant parts of charts according to MJH, State of Florida, and CMS
- Communicates with families according to PACE/MJH guidelines and in a courteous and timely manner
- Serves as a liaison between the PACE program, MJH and the physician community
- Provides information & conducts presentations as required
- Formulates, develops, and executes medical plans, policies, and programs for the PACE Program
- Serves on committees and attends a variety of committee and non-committee meetings, department meetings and in-services as needed
Job Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Medical or Osteopathic School
- Fellowship trained in Geriatrics preferred
- Minimum of 2 -3 years clinical experience supervisory and administrative experience preferred
- Valid State of Florida Medical License Required
- Board Certification
- Valid Florida’s Driver’s License & Proof of Insurance
- Ability to organize and manage multiple projects
- Analytical/critical thinking
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
