This is advanced, responsible administrative and supervisory work providing support in assisting the Division Director 3 for Business Development - Commercial Operations and management staff in the coordination and administration of all sections assigned to the Division Director, including but not limited to Airport Concessions, Commercial Operations, Revenue, Budget & Systems Performance, and Permits. The sections under the purview of the Division Director provide day-to-day support to the entire Miami-Dade Aviation Department (MDAD); therefore, the incumbent needs to provide in-depth coordination and interaction on department-wide functions and activities for the Division Director. The employee must work effectively with the public, departmental staff at all levels, consultants, and other key stakeholders, as well as advocacy groups. The incumbent exercises considerable independent judgment, applying specialized and/or technical knowledge and experience to interpret and complete administrative assignments of varying degrees of difficulty, technicality, complexity, sensitivity, and confidentiality.
Airport Security
Applicants qualifying for employment with the Miami-Dade Aviation Department will be subject to extensive security screening, including but not limited to fingerprint checks, employment verification, and other such procedures as may be mandated by federal law. The security clearance required by federal law is a continuing condition of employment.
