Adjunct Faculty, Nursing

Position Overview This Adjunct faculty member provides lecture and clinical teaching in a multi-option, NLNAC National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission accredited Associate degree Nursing program. Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities: MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes. What you will be doing Supervises students in clinical settings Teaches nursing skills and health assessment Assigns grades for classes taught Complies with all class schedules and deadlines for course documentation Acts as a professional representative with the affiliating agency on behalf of the College Teaches the assigned course consistent with course syllabus and school curriculum May be assigned to provide academic advisement May be assigned to participate in departmental and College affairs May be assigned to develop curricula May be assigned to recruit students May be assigned to serve on committees Performs other duties as assigned What you need to succeed Masters degree with Nursing major; and Valid Florida License to practice Nursing; and Two (2) Years Equivalent Full-Time Clinical Practice experience as a Registered Nurse. All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution Theoretical and clinical expertise in medical-surgical nursing and/or additional ability to teach psychiatric or obstetrical or community health or pediatric nursing required Must have the ability to communicate effectively with students Must be willing to work evenings and weekends Must be able to travel between campuses and clinical agencies Preferences For best consideration upload your unofficial transcripts along with cover letter and resume.
