JOB SUMMARY:
The Director of Auxiliary Programs provides strategic leadership and oversight for Miami Country Day School’s portfolio of enrichment and extended learning programs, including Extended Day, After-School Clubs, Summer Camps, and other revenue-generating initiatives. This role is responsible for ensuring that programming creates meaningful opportunities for exploration, skill development, and intellectual growth beyond the traditional classroom.
Working collaboratively with faculty and administrators, the Director designs and manages high-quality programs that enhance student engagement, oversee program operations, and contribute to a dynamic and enriching student experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & TASKS:
- Leads the vision, development, and expansion of auxiliary and enrichment programming
- Manages day-to-day operations, including scheduling, staffing, logistics, and facilities coordination
- Partners with academic leadership and faculty to ensure programs align with school priorities
- Recruits, hires, supervises, and evaluate program staff, instructors, and seasonal employees
- Develops and manages program budgets; monitor revenue and expenses to ensure sustainability
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with families, faculty, and external partners
- Ensures compliance with school policies, safety standards, and operational procedures
- Evaluates program performance and implement improvements to support growth and quality
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Bachelors degree with minimum of 5 years of experience in education, enrichment programming, student services, or related school-based leadership
- Demonstrated experience designing or managing student enrichment, academic support, or co-curricular programs
- Experience supervising staff and coordinating multiple programs or initiatives
- Strong leadership, organizational, and financial management skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, administrators, families, and external partners
- Strong customer-service mindset with a commitment to a positive student and family experience
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, multi-dimensional environment
- Self-starter with strong initiative and follow-through
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
- Analytical thinker with sound judgment and decision-making ability
- Collaborative team player who can also work independently
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all school information

- Experience in an independent school environment
- Experience overseeing summer programs, after-school enrichment, or academic support services
