The APRN will have a key role in the development and continuous growth of our practice. The APRN will be responsible for the direct and indirect care of her assigned patients, and the supervision of assigned personnel. Examines and treats patients independently and in autonomous collaboration with the Medical Director. May prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests. Works within the scope of the medical protocols established by Miami Beach Gynecology and within the scope of their state’s license, to provide prompt, comprehensive and competent medical care. This position requires the ability to assess a patient's condition, formulate a plan of care, and evaluate a patient's response to care and treatment. Responsible for the continuous development and ongoing clinical management of the patients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides exemplary customer service to patients, visitors and coworkers; maintains customer loyalty score at or above company benchmark
- Provides leadership, direction, and assistance during emergencies while maintaining a comforting and reassuring environment for patients
- Complies with necessary regulatory standards and licensure requirements mandated by Federal and State Agencies (i.e. HIPAA, OSHA, and CPR certification)
- Performs medical assessments of patients and appropriately documents all relevant information
- Establishes and monitors a medically appropriate level of care for patients
- Performs patient follow-up callbacks to review treatment and check on progress
- Oversees assigned staff to ensure operations are consistent with office policy and professional standards
- Directs and oversees all nursing staff
- Provides clinic coverage as needed
- Promotes, supports, and engages in projects and activities which will develop or improve patient care and services
- Perform conscious sedation anesthesia
- Perform IV placement and initiates intravenous therapy when appropriate
- Perform medical assessment, procedures, and determines treatment recommendations
- Review laboratory results and develops appropriate treatment plan
- Understands and executes physician's preferred treatment protocols
- Possesses effective time management skills and assists other staff members when appropriate.
- Possesses excellent organizational skills.
- Communicates and works well in a team environment.
- Meets established production and quality goals/metrics.
Complexity of Work:
Requires critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Nursing from an Accredited University (NO ON-LINE OR HYBRID programs)
- Certification/Licensure: Current Florida Certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Bilingual - English and Spanish
