Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and motivated Nurse Practitioner (APRN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will manage a panel of patients, working both independently and in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. You will utilize advanced clinical skills to assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of health conditions, with a strong focus on patient education, preventive care, and evidence-based practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including detailed histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, adjusting therapies as needed to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Prescribe medications, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and provide patient education on health maintenance, disease prevention, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, and other members of the healthcare team to coordinate care and ensure continuity.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR) and documentation.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical research, and ongoing professional development activities.
- Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring patient values and preferences guide all aspects of care.
Qualifications:
- Current and unrestricted APRN license in Florida.
- National certification as a Nurse Practitioner from an accredited certifying body (e.g., AANP, ANCC).
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience, with prior experience as an APRN preferred.
- Strong diagnostic, critical-thinking, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with electronic health records and familiarity with current clinical guidelines and best practices.
