Miami Arts Charter School is seeking an inspiring and knowledgeable Government & Economics Teacher to join our exceptional faculty for the 2026–2027 school year.
Established in 2009 in Miami’s iconic Wynwood Arts District, our school serves a talented student body in grades 6–12. All students are admitted through an application and audition process in the performing and fine arts. As a public charter school, our commitment to academic rigor and creative excellence sets us apart.
All instructional content aligns with Florida State Standards, and our teachers are supported in delivering high-quality, impactful lessons to a unique population of academically and artistically gifted students.
Responsibilities:
- Teach Government and Economics courses to high school students (Some AP Courses required)
- Design and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons that promote civic understanding and financial literacy
- Establish a classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and respectful debate
- Monitor and report on student progress through assessments and grading
- Foster strong connections with students, families, and colleagues
- Support school-wide initiatives, events, and professional development activities
Qualifications:
- State of Florida Teaching Certificate (Professional or Temporary) OR Statement of Eligibility
- Teaching experience preferred, though not required
- Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills
- A passion for education, public policy, and preparing students for real-world engagement
- Dedication to working with a diverse and highly motivated student population
