Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Director of Operations to provide strategic and operational leadership across all areas of hotel performance. This role requires a highly analytical hospitality professional with a strong background in hotel accounting and financial management, a passion for team engagement and leadership development, and proven success overseeing Food & Beverage operations.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with Hyatt experience, exceptional business acumen, and a track record of driving profitability, operational excellence, and memorable guest experiences. As a key member of the leadership team, the Director of Operations will partner closely with the General Manager to ensure all departments operate efficiently, effectively, and in alignment with company and brand standards.
What You'll Do
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring excellence across all departments.
- Drive financial performance through effective budgeting, forecasting, labor management, and cost controls.
- Analyze P&L statements, financial reports, departmental expenses, and operating metrics to maximize profitability.
- Provide strategic oversight and leadership of Food & Beverage operations, ensuring exceptional service, quality, and revenue growth.
- Foster a culture of engagement, accountability, recognition, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor, coach, and develop department leaders to achieve operational and financial objectives.
- Monitor guest satisfaction results and implement initiatives to enhance the overall guest experience.
- Ensure compliance with Hyatt brand standards, company policies, and all regulatory requirements.
- Partner with department heads to drive revenue, control expenses, and achieve operational goals.
- Lead recruiting, training, performance management, and succession planning efforts.
- Serve as a key operational leader and ambassador for the hotel's culture and values.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of progressive hotel leadership experience in a full-service hotel environment.
- Previous Hyatt experience required.
- Strong accounting and financial management experience, including budgeting, forecasting, P&L analysis, and labor controls.
- Demonstrated success leading Food & Beverage operations.
- Proven ability to build, engage, and retain high-performing teams.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of hotel operations, guest service, revenue management, and profitability drivers.
- Experience overseeing multiple departments and leading department managers.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
- Must have been in your current role for a minimum of two (2) years.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
