Position Overview:
The Accounting Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of our hotel properties. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills who can manage a team effectively and is adept at ensuring all accounting practices are aligned with financial regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the accounting department, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial processes.
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports to support management decision-making.
- Develop and implement robust financial controls and procedures to maintain integrity and accuracy in financial records.
- Collaborate with hotel management to prepare budgets and forecasts, offering insights and recommendations for improvements.
- Monitor financial performance and identify trends, variances, and risks to optimize profitability.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors, managing any required financial adjustments.
- Train, mentor, and develop the accounting team to enhance overall performance and career development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent leadership and managerial abilities with a proven track record of managing and developing teams.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
