CNC Program Prove-Out & Setup Technician — Mi‑Tech Tungsten Metals

Step into a role where precision meets problem‑solving. On our 2nd shift operations, you’ll arrive to a clean setup sheet, prep the workholding, dial in tooling, and run a careful prove‑out of a new program before first-article inspection. When something looks off, you’ll troubleshoot code, collaborate with engineers and project managers, and keep production running smoothly. After training in our internal processes, you’ll confidently run machines and own your setups end‑to‑end.

What you’ll handle

• Install and verify tooling and workholding according to setup work instructions
• Configure CNC equipment with correct fixtures, cutters, and material to execute the job
• Prove out new programs; identify and resolve machine programming issues
• Partner with engineers, project managers, and teammates to optimize outcomes
• Inspect parts and perform routine equipment care to maintain uptime
  
  

What you’ll bring

• 3–5 years of CNC setup or related machining experience in a manufacturing environment
• Solid analytical, math, and computer skills
• Ability to read and apply blueprints, schematics, and related documents
• Working knowledge of GD&T (datums, feature control frames, symbols) is a plus
• Strength in root‑cause problem solving and hands‑on troubleshooting
