Your impact
- Set up and run centerless grinding machines while actively observing the grind and validating measurements.
- Tune work guides and grinding blades to achieve consistent, round components for downstream finishing.
- Straighten material by hand or via hydraulic press to prep for accurate grinding.
- Adjust machine parameters to hold tight tolerances and deliver specified part finishes.
- Change out regulating or grinding wheels as needed to maintain performance.
- Dress both the regulating and grinding wheels per work instructions.
- Identify malfunctions quickly, troubleshoot root causes, and correct using control adjustments.
- At least 1 year in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with micrometers, comparators, and gauges.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and solid math skills.
- Prior grinding experience is a definite plus.
