Are you passionate about transforming healthcare experiences? At MI Smiles Dental Group, we're looking for a Dental Patient Advocate who can turn every interaction into an opportunity for comfort and clarity.

As a Patient Advocate, you'll be the cornerstone of our patient care, guiding individuals through their dental journey with empathy and meticulous attention to detail. Your role extends far beyond answering calls and emails—you'll be an integral part of our patients' wellness story, offering reassurance and expert guidance every step of the way.

If you're detail-oriented, empathetic, and thrive in a collaborative environment, we want to hear from you. Join our community where your unique skills will be celebrated, and your dedication to patient care will make a real difference.

The Role—As our Patient Advocate, you'll have three key areas of responsibility:

1. Patient Support and Education—You'll be the trusted guide for patients, focusing on:

  • Warmly greet and welcome patients, both over the phone and through digital channels, creating a positive first impression.
  • Provide clear, comprehensive information about our services, procedures, and policies.
  • Address and resolve insurance-related questions with patience and understanding.
  • Verify and update patient insurance details accurately.
  • Maintain patient medical records meticulously, adhering to clinical standards and confidentiality.

2. Care Coordination and Quality Assurance—You'll bridge the gap between patients and providers by:

  • Manage patient appointments, follow-ups, and handle cancellations, ensuring a smooth patient flow.
  • Schedule and reschedule appointments efficiently, optimizing our daily operations.
  • Handle patient follow-ups and send out reminders, keeping everyone on the same page.
  • Present treatment estimates and assist patients with understanding their financial options, including third-party financing.

3. Administrative and Compliance Support—In this important role, you'll be responsible for:

  • Enter and manage demographic and insurance information with accuracy.
  • Perform administrative tasks with precision, ensuring every detail is correct.
  • Use technology effectively to manage data and keep patient schedules organized.

Do you match what we are looking for?

  • 1 year of experience in a healthcare or customer service setting preferred.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • A friendly, empathetic personality with strong multitasking abilities.
  • A team player who excels in collaborative environments.
  • Ability to handle high-volume calls and questions with understanding, patient orientation, and a positive and helpful attitude.
