Duties
- Supervise and engage with children during playtime, learning activities, and rest periods to promote development and safety
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate educational programs aligned with childhood development standards
- Support children with personal care routines such as diapering, feeding, and toileting, ensuring comfort and hygiene
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages creativity and learning
- Observe and document children's progress, behaviors, and needs to inform ongoing care strategies
- Enforce safety policies diligently, including monitoring for hazards and managing behavior management strategies
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's day-to-day activities and developmental milestones
Skills
- Demonstrated experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and classroom management techniques
- First aid certification to respond promptly to minor injuries or emergencies
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is highly valued
- Strong understanding of childhood development stages and appropriate caregiving practices
