What this role is all about:
We are looking for a Sanitation Operator on 1st Shift in New Lisbon, WI.
Schedule: Monday - Friday with options for either of the schedules below:
- Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm
- Monday - Thursday, 9-hour shift; Friday 5-hour shift
The Sanitation Operator performs all tasks required to maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the production facility and warehouses. The Sanitation Operator identifies, cleans, and sanitizes areas that need specific attention that may or may not be included in the Master Sanitation Program.
Job Duties:
- Oversee and supervise the daily operations of all production and packaging lines and systems.
- Work closely with Sanitation Lead as to daily objectives and special cleaning instructions.
- Routinely clean variable areas in the plant to address specific concerns that affect plant cleanliness and food safety.
- Successfully clean walls, floors, equipment, and other areas of the facility.
- Successfully perform waste disposal, sanitation of equipment and facilities, and other related facilities/grounds duties.
- Respond to Environmental/Pest Control cleaning requests as needed.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as the floor cleaner, ladders, scissors lifts in a safe and sanitary manner.
- Perform all duties in accordance with food safety rules, personal safety rules and requirements.
- Successfully complete necessary paperwork on a daily basis.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
- Periodically handle bags of product, which are at minimum 25 kg. (55.115 lbs.), when needed to clean bags, clean spills, etc.
- Regular contact with employees from Production, Quality, Laboratory and will interact with all levels of employees.
- Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
- Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
- Support safety policies and programs.

Education Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
Experience Required:
- Minimum one (1) year sanitation experience preferred.
- Minimum one (1) years of experience in a dairy and/or food production plant preferred.
