Industrial Painter job summary:Painter sprays surfaces of manufactured parts and trailers with protective material such as primer and paint by performing the following duties.INDUSTRIAL PAINTER ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Follows necessary MGS procedures and work instructions.
- Reads paperwork or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or products to be washed or painted.
- Prepares product for paint as needed.
- Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce required color.
- Operates a paint gun or other spray application equipment to apply industrial paint finishes on metals or products.
- Inspects finished product to ensure required specifications.
- Follows safety guidelines and uses all required personal protective equipment.
- Completes all necessary paperwork and daily usage reports.
- Assists with routine cleaning and maintenance in Paint department areas.

PHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of this job, the painter is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or climb. The painter must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
