Position Overview
The Tax Manager will play a key leadership role within the firm’s tax department, overseeing complex tax engagements, managing client relationships, and guiding a team of professionals. Key Responsibilities

Manage and review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts

Conduct detailed tax research and provide strategic recommendations to clients

Identify and implement proactive tax-saving strategies

Oversee estimated tax payments, projections, and extensions

Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing responsive, high-quality service

Mentor, train, and review the work of junior staff and seniors

Stay current with changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry trends

Participate in client meetings and tax planning discussions

Manage client engagements from start to finish, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance

Collaborate across departments to deliver integrated financial services

Prepare or review tax provision calculations and financial statement disclosures

Respond to IRS and state taxing authority inquiries

Contribute to quality control initiatives and continuous process improvement

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Active CPA license required

Minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience with a strong focus on tax preparation, planning, and review

Proficiency in tax software

Strong technical knowledge of federal and state tax laws
