THE JOB:
Step into an exciting role as a Group Housing Specialist, where you’ll help create seamless and memorable group experiences from start to finish. With your passion for service, strong communication skills, and problem-solving mindset, you’ll partner closely with clients to understand their unique needs, bringing their vision to life and creating “WOW” moments that last beyond their event.
Based at our off-site Corporate location, you’ll manage group programs up to 1,500 room nights, serving as a key liaison for clients and event partners. In this role, you’ll oversee room block and booking processes, ensuring every detail is organized, accurate, and executed flawlessly. You’ll also build strong relationships with both internal teams and clients, playing a vital role in delivering exceptional experiences across MGM Resorts properties.
THE STARTING RATE: $22.00 / Per Hour
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for group clients, addressing inquiries and providing support throughout the booking process
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination for group arrivals and accommodations
- Manage group bookings and reservations, ensuring accuracy and timely processing
- Monitor inventory and availability for group bookings, adjusting as necessary to maximize occupancy
- Reconcile rooming and financial details, including verifying master rooming lists, processing attrition and commission fees, preparing estimated charges, and collecting payments
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- One (1) year of prior relevant experience in guest services
- Experience and proficiency with Property Management Systems
- Detail oriented, takes initiative, flexible and able to multi-task
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all stakeholders
