As a member of the Sourcing Vendor Management team, you will act as the subject matter expert supporting corporate procurement needs. You will have an active role in monitoring top tier vendor relationships/performance to mitigate third party risk to MGIC. You will support the business in resolving vendor escalations. Responsibilities include establishing and maintaining collaborative and positive working relationships with senior management, business owners, internal stakeholders and various external partners. You can expect to:

Responsibilities include establishing and maintaining collaborative and positive working relationships with senior management, business owners, internal stakeholders and various external partners. You can expect to:
- Work on end-to-end strategic sourcing events with varying degrees of complexity.
- Support initiatives by understanding processes and stakeholders within the Organization.
- Create RFP requirements and other related documents, conduct vendor analysis, and lead negotiations.
- Participate in vendor governance and escalations.
- Perform benchmarking, spend analysis and other research to enhance results.
- Facilitate the initiation, review and negotiation of contracts (NDAs/MSAs/SOWs, etc.) with Legal, business owners and other stakeholders.
- Evaluate and negotiate terms that represent business requirements to drive optimal Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and actionable SLA’s.
- Adhere to corporate contracting standards and policies and escalate contract terms that impact the business owner/vendor risk profile for discussion and approval as appropriate.
- Collaborate with Information Risk Management for data risk assessment.
- Maintain awareness of changing market conditions, as well as strategic business directions and senior management directives that create opportunities for cost savings/avoidance and efficiency.
- Knowledge of commercial IT contract terms and legal implications and actionable SLA’s.
- A deep understanding of software subscriptions and license agreements.
- A strong understanding of procurement methodologies and process.
- Elevated negotiation skills.
- An ability to navigate unique and complex situations to meet corporate business objectives and business requirements.
- An ability to perform equally well in a team environment or individually.
- At least 5 years of sourcing and contract administration with experience supporting the Information Technology category including:
- Hardware
- Software
- PaaS/ SaaS
- Professional Services
- Collaborate and build relationships with senior management, business owners and internal stakeholders
- Have strong interpersonal and writing skills
- Stay organized and keep strong documentation
- Come up with strategic solutions to problems
