Software Developer
Oostburg, WI (On- site)
The Software Developer is responsible for the development of company business application needs under the direction of the Director of Application Development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, code, test, debug, implement, and maintain software applications as requested by users and approved by the Director of Application Development or the Vice President of Information Technology.
- Develop, write, and maintain system documentation.
- Provide end-user assistance including education, training, and troubleshooting.
- Provide after-hours, on-call support to end-users (weeknight/weekend).
- Perform miscellaneous projects as requested by the Director of Application Development or the Vice President of Information Technology.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor Degree in Management Information Systems or a related area, or equivalent experience required.
- Up to three years of programming experience in IBMi Power Systems, or in a related position.
- Knowledge of an IBMi midrange computer system.
- Programming knowledge and skills in ILE, RPG/400, CL, subfiles, SQL, and DB2/400.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office products.
- Personal computer and hardware troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Requires a high level of confidentiality.
- Ability to communicate effectively with people.
- Ability to read and understand moderately complex computer manuals.
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturing, warehouse, and/or distribution applications.
