What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at MGC ADVANCED POLYMERS INC?

Investigate and correct minor production line problems.
- Routinely patrol the plant; observe and listen to machines or equipment to identify machine malfunctions.
- Inspect equipment and systems and make recommendations for repair.
- Utilize hand tools, gauges and instruments to determine source of problems.
- Correct minor machine issues.
- Assist with troubleshooting and repair of more complicated or significant machine failures.
- Propose repair ideas to the Shift Supervisor and Maintenance Supervisor to develop a repair plan.
Perform general and preventative maintenance and repair.
- Inspect for visual flaws, and clean machines as necessary.
- Maintain documented information of completed repairs and maintenance activities in FaciliWorks CMMS
Physical requirements
- Walk, stand, crouch, kneel, crawl and sit up to 12 hours in one day.
- Routinely lift a maximum of 50 pounds.
Perform any other duties as assigned.
