BECO Asset Management, LLC is currently seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at 1200 Acqua Luxury Apartments in Petersburg, VA. Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repairs
- Complete work orders and service requests in a timely and professional manner
- Prepare vacant apartment homes for new residents (unit turns), including painting, repairs, and cleaning
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls as part of an on-call rotation (includes nights/weekends—generous call pay provided)
- Maintain the overall cleanliness and condition of the property’s physical assets and grounds
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies
- Collaborate with the Community Manager and other team members to provide excellent resident service
- 1 year of experience in apartment or residential maintenance preferred
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, and carpentry
- HVAC certification is a plus
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.)
- Available for night and weekend on-call duty
- Must be organized, self-motivated, and able to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to professionalism and customer service
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
