About the Role
Join the team that manufactures and maintains the iconic uniforms worn by cadets at the United States Military Academy at West Point. As a Sewing Machine Operator, you will operate standard and high-speed industrial sewing machines to perform a range of operations in the manufacture, alteration, and repair of cadet uniforms in a professional production environment. At the senior level, you will handle the most complex sewing operations and help maintain production quality standards.
What You'll Do
- Operate standard and high-speed industrial sewing machines to manufacture cadet uniform components
- Perform complex seaming, joining, and finishing operations to exacting quality standards
- Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications and rework as needed
- Support production flow and assist less experienced operators as directed
What You Bring
- 3 years of industrial/production sewing machine experience preferred
- Demonstrated skill on standard and high-speed sewing machines
- Attention to detail and consistent quality workmanship
- Must be 18 years of age or older (U.S. Government contract requirement)
- Ability to speak, read, and write English
- Reliable transportation to West Point, NY
What We Offer
- Full-time, 40 hours/week guaranteed minimum, Monday–Friday day shift – no nights, no weekends
- Paid federal holidays and vacation per Service Contract Act requirements
- All PPE and equipment provided
- Anticipated start: August 2026; position runs through September 2026 with option periods extending to May 2027
