Position Summary: Responsible for producing hose assemblies in accordance with order specifications and ensuring that all hose assembly orders and kits are completed and shipped in time to comply with customer’s required dates.
Primary Duties
- Follow daily production schedules and priorities from the Hose Production Supervisor
- Have the Lead Operator inspect and approve the first hose in each production run before full production
- Receive hose and parts into inventory
- Maintain, calibrate, and clean hose assembly tools and equipment
- Assist with inventory as needed
- Ensure all kits include required shippers, QA sheets, and proper bagging/tagging before shipment
- Other duties as assigned
- Excellent written & oral communication and strong relationship building skills required
- Detail oriented with solid organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
- Basic computer skills, with a willingness to learn new programs. Experience with P21 a plus
- Experience with industrial distribution preferred. Familiarity with industrial and hydraulic hose and fittings, especially Parker Hannifin a plus
- Lifting objects up to 35 pounds
- Bending to retrieve equipment, parts, hose reels and to push, pull or slide heavy objects
- Standing for long periods of time while cutting, crimping, blowing out, tagging and plugging hoses
- Frequent repetitive grasping, twisting, pushing and pulling use of the hands
- Occasional use of hydraulic crimping equipment
- Hose production is located in a non-air-conditioned area of our facility with high or low seasonal temperatures. Physical demands and environment reflected are representative of those encountered by employees when performing the essential job functions
